HARK!

I hear…projections…

With the New Year peeking out of a cracked shell, HARK Valley asked members of a few Facebook writers groups:

What's your best sentence (original, preferably) to describe 2022?

Some of the more…interesting answers:

From the Arizona Writers group

Carree Tolle:

Regenerated resistance of what will be of my shaken reality.

Julie Redfield Young:

The tiger dove into the ice, cracked its surface with his claws and stood on the new horizon.

Andrew Flynn:

This motherfucker just started and you want a sentence about it already?

(HV response: “Andrew Flynn yes. You should have had time for at least 90 cups of coffee by now.” Andrew Flynn response: “97 in fact.”)

From the Aspiring Writers United group

Vivi An:

I waited expectently for something wrong to happen. In my life there's no calm before the storm. Be afraid of the calm before the storm. Be very afraid.

Darren Perks:

It’s like the Italian Renaissance. A lot of fat people laying around on sofas wearing very little, while a plague spreads.

Eli Cole:

2021 is like a carnival ride, it's poorly put together, makes you horribly sick, and makes you want to scream your lungs out, but through all that it's still fun enough to do. Hopefully 2022 will be like six flags instead.

Cabot Barden:

Like the man said when he feel off the ten story building, "So far so good." But it's those sudden stops that will mess you up. lol.

Adam Bogicevic:

The start of a magic year!!!

Just finished my third draft on the 3rd of January after my 31st birthday on the 31st of December so even the numbers are lining up for me!

Michael Creech:

May the battle commence, Round Three. FIGHT!

Gary Gillett:

Shit circus with too many clowns..
